Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in desktop support within a network environment for small to mid-sized organizations
- Availability for a minimum of 40 hours weekly
- Fundamental understanding of network cabling and file/printer sharing
- A GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Capability to lift at least 25 lbs
- Strong task prioritization and time management skills
- Good judgment with effective collaboration within a high-performing team
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Proficient in responding to inquiries effectively
- Skill in developing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
- Ability to analyze problems, gather data, establish facts, and form valid conclusions
- Commitment to maintaining a professional (business casual) attire
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain various IT systems, from servers to basic workstations
- Upgrade existing hardware and software as needed
- Travel to residential and commercial locations for PC setups, service, troubleshooting, and solution development
- Test systems to ensure they are functioning effectively
- Install and service printers, scanners, and other office equipment
- Conduct basic network troubleshooting
- Prepare cost estimates for new installations
- Execute routine maintenance for managed clients
- Support desktop operating systems and application software
- Perform minor equipment repairs and manage other servicing needs
- Identify and report system issues to vendors while monitoring resolutions
- Oversee antivirus software, updates, and repair infected computers
- Ensure data security through monitoring backup systems and procedures
- Document activities, solutions, and service requests
- Help maintain inventory records and documentation
- Consult vendors and evaluate products for equipment selection and upgrades
- Assist users in selecting suitable software solutions
- Provide backup technical support for network components including routers and firewalls
- Maintain positive relationships and open communication with clients
- Complete other duties or projects as required
