Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Over 8 years of experience in software development and software testing, particularly in test automation
- Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive test automation frameworks
- Capability to develop thorough test strategies, plans, and cases based on specifications, design documents, and user narratives
- Strong understanding of API testing principles, including API mocking and virtualization methods
- Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts such as encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction for creating modular, reusable, and maintainable code
- Deep knowledge of essential data structures (e.g., arrays, linked lists, trees, graphs) and algorithms (e.g., sorting, searching, dynamic programming)
- Expertise in analyzing algorithmic complexity and optimizing code performance
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies with experience in writing unit tests, integration tests, and acceptance tests
- Familiar with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior members, offer technical guidance, and spearhead improvements in testing processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and SDETs
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and reliability of software products
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions based on strong software engineering principles
- Drive the progression and refinement of application design and architecture, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and modern practices
- Create and implement flexible testing tools and strategies for varied application types
- Articulate proposals and build consensus within the engineering team to enhance efficiency in time-to-market
- Stay informed about diverse platforms and tools conducive to testing in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Advocate for and enforce cohesive coding, documentation, and testing standards within the team
- Implement tools for streamlined impact analysis to proactively identify the effects of changes across multiple applications
- Gain in-depth knowledge of business processes to align technology projects with organizational objectives
- Engage actively in Agile methodologies, fulfilling team sprint commitments and providing insights for process optimization
- Lead ongoing educational initiatives to improve design precision and code integrity while enhancing application domain understanding
- Participate in the talent acquisition process to ensure selection of top candidates
- Serve in a mentorship role, guiding and reviewing code, designs, and documentation
