Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in software engineering
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proficient in Python (5 years required) and Go (2+ years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure (3+ years required)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (3+ years required)
- Familiarity with React front-end development (2+ years preferred)
- Understanding of financial services and compliance regulations (2 years required)
- Experience in building secure systems that handle sensitive financial data
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including clean coding and testing methodologies
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage scalable backend services using Python (FastAPI) and Go, while contributing to React front-end features when necessary
- Architect distributed systems and cloud-native services operating on AWS (ECS, Fargate, RDS, S3, IAM)
- Utilize solid Object-Oriented Programming principles, design patterns, and data structures to create maintainable code
- Implement unit, integration, and system-level tests to ensure the reliability of backend services and infrastructure components
- Manage deployment pipelines, containerization using Docker, and infrastructure configurations to promote dependable CI/CD and production stability
- Collaborate on enhancing database performance, schema evolution, migrations, and SQL optimization
- Integrate third-party financial and data services, such as credit bureaus and KYC providers
- Develop and maintain reusable libraries and components for increased efficiency
- Optimize backend services, APIs, and database queries focusing on performance, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and security
- Ensure all development adheres to compliance and security standards, including handling PII and encryption
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
- Work alongside stakeholders to devise solutions for financial systems and lending workflows
