Requirements

Must:
- TS/SCI Clearance - Bachelors Degree in a relevant field with a minimum of three years of experience in the specific technical/professional area, at least three years in the DoD - A total of seven years of directly related experience along with appropriate certifications as stipulated in the PWS labor category performance requirements, with a minimum of five years in the DoD - IA Technician Level Two certification required within six months of hire - Understanding of JAFAN 6/0, DCID/JAFAN 6/3, DCID/JAFAN 6/9, and Joint DODIIS/Cryptologic SCI Information Systems Security Standards, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy relevant to certification and accreditation (C&A) - Familiarity with security policies/manuals and applicable DCIDs/JAFANs along with other guiding policy documents - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

- Execute COMSEC responsibilities. - Enhance IT security business processes for improved service delivery and efficiency. - Set up, maintain, audit, and support a secure Microsoft Windows network and associated web/data application services. - Manage DoD and AF internet applications and protocols, including but not limited to IP, TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and SSL. - Oversee file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and necessary system documentation. - Collaborate with local clients to deliver IT support and swiftly resolve issues. - Diagnose and troubleshoot system irregularities to ensure optimal equipment performance. - Conduct periodic maintenance, hardware upgrades, and system configuration changes. - Perform scheduled system backups and manage the data backup library, maintaining storage in customer and off-site facilities. - Participate in planning and requirements meetings with IT personnel and program managers as needed. - Prepare systems for operational deployment and support tests and inspections. - Provide technical advice, leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance to the AFLCMC/IN team members. - Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of current and older AF operating systems and server software, including Microsoft Windows and Exchange Server. - Utilize knowledge of LAN, WAN, and data backup technologies, including COMSEC integration, to sustain system operations. - Thrive in a dynamic work environment, interacting effectively with DoD, military, civilian personnel, and industry partners. - Assist in acquiring and maintaining IT systems for weapon systems, subsystems, components, and equipment. - Aid in acquiring and sustaining IT equipment and software to ensure compliance with accessibility standards for training content and facilities. - Support the security accreditation process, including NCO and Warfare Reference Model, preparation of ISPs, IA, network centric, global grid interoperability requirements, and certification processes like the Network Readiness Assessment. - Help operate IT systems to ensure standardized file structures and seamless file sharing for daily interactions with the SIO, SSO, Staff, and directorate senior staff. - Advise on system security management plans, risk analyses, OPSEC plans, computer Certification and Accreditation, vulnerability assessments, and other security documentation per MIL-HDBK 1785, DODI 5000.02, and AF Supplement 1.
