Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- 8 years of software development experience, with 5 years focused on payment systems
- 3 years in senior architecture or technical leadership roles
- Deep understanding of the payment ecosystem, including major networks such as Visa and Mastercard
- Expertise in various payment methods and platforms like Adyen, PayPal, and Klarna
- Strong grasp of payment industry standards like ISO 8583, EMV, and PCI DSS
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Proficiency in microservices architecture and event-driven systems
- Knowledge of programming languages like .NET or Python
- Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and distributed data systems
- Understanding of DevOps practices, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD
- Proven knowledge of payment security strategies, including fraud detection and tokenization
- Familiarity with emerging payment regulations and the intricacies of settlement and reconciliation
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural decisions and develop solutions for payment processing platforms, including real-time transaction handling and settlement
- Define and implement microservices architecture patterns for scalable and resilient payment systems
- Evaluate and recommend payment technology vendors, platforms, and third-party integrations
- Design secure payment solutions with a focus on fraud detection and data encryption
- Develop architecture for multi-channel payment acceptance, including online, mobile, and in-store environments
- Create real-time monitoring, alerting, and reporting systems for payment transactions
- Design APIs and integration methods for services related to payment providers, banks, and internal financial systems
- Mentor development teams on payment systems and architectural best practices
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders on payment features
- Work with DevOps teams on continuous integration and deployment strategies for payment systems
