Must:
### We expect you to have a deep comprehension of the payment ecosystem, including familiarity with prominent payment networks such as Visa and Mastercard, as well as acquirers and processors. You should possess expertise in various payment methods including cards, digital wallets, and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), along with the platforms that support them (like Adyen, PayPal, and Klarna). You must also have a solid understanding of industry standards such as ISO 8583, ISO 20022, EMV, and PCI DSS. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and payment-specific services is essential. Proficiency in microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and API design is required, along with knowledge of programming languages, such as .NET or Python. Familiarity with databases including SQL and NoSQL, as well as DevOps practices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD is necessary. You should also have experience in payment security strategies, such as fraud detection and transaction processes, and an understanding of emerging payment regulations. ###

Responsibilities

In your role as a Senior Architect, Payments, you will take the lead on architectural decisions and design solutions for payment processing platforms, focusing on real-time transaction handling, settlement, and intelligent routing. You will define and implement microservices architecture patterns aimed at scalability, resilience, and performance. Evaluating and recommending payment technology vendors, platforms, and third-party integrations will be part of your duties. Additionally, you will architect secure payment solutions that include components like fraud detection, tokenization, and encryption. Your work will involve developing architecture for multi-channel payment acceptance across online, mobile, in-store, call center, and API channels. You will also design real-time monitoring, alerting, and reporting capabilities for payments, alongside APIs and integration patterns for payment service providers, banks, and our internal financial systems. Mentoring development teams in payment domain knowledge and architectural principles will be essential, as will collaborating with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders on payment features. Partnering with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies for payment systems will complete your responsibilities. ###
