Head of Payment Systems Engineering

- I will design, manage, and execute enterprise-level digital and retail payment systems that support card payments, digital wallets, remote payments, buy now pay later options, and emerging payment methods. - I will lead design decisions for payment processing platforms, focusing on real-time transaction processing, settlement systems, and reconciliation frameworks. - I will establish technical standards and best practices for payment system development and evaluate and recommend payment technology vendors, platforms, and third-party integrations. - I will develop integrated fraud detection and prevention systems that encompass multi-channel payment acceptance, including online, mobile, in-store, call center, and API. - I will create technical specifications for payment routing, switching, and optimization systems and develop capabilities for real-time payment monitoring, alerting, and reporting. - I will ensure that payment systems comply with PCI DSS and other regulatory requirements while developing tokenization, encryption, and secure key management solutions. - I will implement security-by-design principles across all payment touchpoints and collaborate with security teams on vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. - I will create APIs and integration patterns for payment service providers, acquiring banks, and card networks and develop solutions for payment orchestration and intelligent routing. - I will define standards for payment data formats, messaging protocols, and communication interfaces and develop integration patterns with enterprise financial systems, accounting platforms, and business applications. - I will mentor development teams on payment domain knowledge and career aspirations while leading technical design reviews and governance processes. - I will collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders on payment features and work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies for payment systems.
