Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting
- Familiarity with network protocols and standards such as Ethernet, MPLS, BGP, and OSPF
- Capability to design scalable and efficient network frameworks
- Experience in network topology design and deployment
- Understanding of network hardware like routers, switches, firewalls, and access points
- Proven experience in hardware setup and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices
- Proficiency in implementing and managing security solutions, including firewalls and VPNs
- Experience with network monitoring tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Nagios
- Skills in performance tuning and optimization
- Ability to write scripts for network automation using languages like Python, Perl, or Bash
- Familiarity with automation tools/frameworks such as Ansible or Puppet
- Understanding of wireless networking standards like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- Experience in wireless network design and resolution
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Skillful in diagnosing and addressing complex network challenges
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities
- Design and implement network infrastructure according to organizational requirements
- Deploy network solutions including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks
- Monitor network performance for optimal operation
- Conduct regular maintenance and system updates, including patches and security enhancements
- Identify and resolve network issues related to connectivity and performance
- Provide technical support for network-related inquiries
- Establish and execute network security protocols to safeguard against cyber threats
- Perform regular security assessments and audits
- Configure network devices and services like VLANs, VPNs, and Quality of Service (QoS)
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes
- Generate reports on network performance and security incidents
- Plan for future network capacity needs based on usage trends
- Optimize network performance through tuning and upgrades
- Collaborate with IT team members to ensure seamless network integration
- Work with vendors and service providers for network support and services
- Establish disaster recovery plans for network stability
- Ensure reliable backup of network data for restoration purposes
- Adhere to organizational policies and regulatory standards regarding network infrastructure
- Provide training and assistance to IT staff and end-users on network topics
- Stay informed about the latest technological advancements and recommend improvements
