Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
- Over 18 years of experience in IT architecture and design, focusing on enterprise-wide solutions OR a Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Deep expertise in advanced routing and switching protocols, particularly BGP and OSPF
- Knowledge of Layer 2/3 and Core Distribution technologies
- Experience with enterprise network segmentation and SDWAN/firewalling
- Proficiency in WLAN design and management for high-density, multi-floor environments
- Skills in private connectivity and network redundancy design
- Competence in automation and scripting technologies
- Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Elastic, or NetScout, including deep packet inspection and traffic analysis
- Comprehensive understanding of healthcare data and terminologies
- Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in complex interface issues
- Advanced leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff
- Excellent strategic thinking and planning capabilities
- Superior collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to influence change
- Strong business acumen and financial modeling skills
- Exceptional creativity and thought leadership in innovation
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
- Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills suitable for executive-level engagement
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and development of major initiatives within the network sector
- Architect scalable, redundant, and high-availability networking solutions
- Provide strategic guidance on network security, aligning with industry best practices
- Maintain awareness of healthcare IT systems and technological advancements
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and IT teams to define and implement the organizations technological roadmap
- Manage and oversee large, complex projects that align with business objectives
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in network design and architecture
- Train and mentor junior team members to enhance team capabilities
- Ensure comprehensive documentation and compliance with industry standards
