Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience - Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in software development and architecture - Strong automation expertise, including testing, deployment, and monitoring - Proficient in Terraform and Amazon AWS technologies, particularly ECS and Lambda - Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like New Relic, Splunk, and PagerDuty - Experience in agile development, continuous integration, and automated testing - Solid problem-solving skills and strong written communication abilities - Understanding of SLOs, error budgets, and best practices in site reliability engineering

Responsibilities

- Solve complex problems with technically feasible solutions - Design and author software tools that ensure reliable application delivery and performance - Establish and maintain application monitoring and alerting systems - Collaborate with engineering teams to apply best practices in software development - Enhance software release predictability and reliability as well as operational workflows - Minimize mean time to recovery (MTTR) through effective troubleshooting and automated recovery processes - Assist with infrastructure as code efforts and SRE activities such as improving monitoring and defining error budgets - Engage with a release train to streamline IaC and site reliability initiatives

We focus on developing and sustaining our AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines for over 15 development teams, utilizing a standardized Docker-based solution. Our team emphasizes infrastructure as code practices with Terraform and prioritizes proactive monitoring, alerting, and adherence to least privilege access principles.
