Requirements
Must:
- Relevant industry-leading certification required: AWS Solutions Architect Professional.
- Experience in fast-paced sales environments with hands-on knowledge of AWS migrations and deployments.
- In-depth understanding of Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and traditional data center infrastructure.
- Familiarity with IaaS/PaaS/SaaS platforms such as EC2, RDS, etc.
- Proficiency in containerization and virtualization technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, and ECS.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Puppet, Ansible, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
- Understanding of disaster recovery principles and data protection.
- Familiarity with PCI, HIPAA, and GDPR compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, NoSQL, etc.).
- A BA/BS Degree with 6 years of experience, or an MS Degree with 4 years of experience, or a Ph.D. with one year of experience, or 10 years of overall experience without a degree.
- Professional Level Public Cloud Certification (AWS, Azure, Google).
- Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfort in communicating effectively across internal teams.
- Ability to speak at public events to larger audiences is a plus.
- Fluency in English.
Responsibilities
- Represent RapidScale’s technical expertise and position the company as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the sales process.
- Provide pre-sales technical support to the sales team to drive revenue and cloud adoption.
- Conduct comprehensive technical discovery and assessment workshops to identify customer pain points and gather both business and technical requirements. This includes Well-Architected Reviews, Migration Readiness Assessments, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses.
- Consult with potential clients and design solutions that align with their specified requirements utilizing the Well-Architected Framework methodology.
- Produce cost estimates, labor estimates, and Statements of Work (SOWs) for potential projects.
- Collaborate in the development of technical documentation, including pitch materials, presentations, and technical collateral.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for Sales and Go-to-Market teams.
- Clearly document and communicate proposed architectures to implementation teams during and after the pre-sales phase to ensure project success.
- Interface with the Product team to provide feedback aimed at improving product quality and capabilities by leveraging insights from field engagements.
- Deliver thought leadership by representing the company at industry events, publishing blog posts, white papers, and participating in case studies.

In this role, you will be required to travel 25-35% to conferences, partner offices, and client sites primarily on the East Coast. The compensation for this position ranges from $151,400 to $227,200, and eligibility for an annual incentive/commission target of $52,800.
