Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree with 2 years, or a PhD with 1 year, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree - Over 3 years of experience in research operations, project or program coordination - More than 4 years of experience within UX/Product Design, product, design, marketing, analytics, or customer research fields - Strong understanding of Research Ops principles, practices, and industry standards, particularly in data governance and participant protection - Proven expertise in at least one area of Research Ops, with a well-rounded knowledge of the discipline - Ability to independently design, implement, and enhance operational systems using service design, automation, and project management methodologies - Experience overseeing research repositories, participant panels, vendors, and operational initiatives with minimal supervision - Ability to utilize qualitative insights and quantitative metrics to assess effectiveness, convey impact, and foster ongoing improvements - Demonstrated competence in independently formulating and delivering operational services that scale across teams or products - Proficiency in using general-purpose LLM tools for analyzing user behavior, identifying trends, and prioritizing opportunities - Capability to employ AI to expedite discovery, experimentation, and development, while recommending enhancements

Responsibilities

- Oversee and execute one or multiple end-to-end Research Ops services or programs that align with the Research Ops strategy and overall research objectives - Create, implement, document, and refine scalable operational systems that cater to various research teams, products, or business functions - Maintain and upgrade research repositories and knowledge-management systems to ensure insights are accessible, reusable, and consistently managed - Facilitate the alignment and sharing of user research insights with market and competitive research teams for a comprehensive understanding of customers and users - Manage recruitment panels for research participants, incentive models, and fulfillment processes, ensuring ethical standards, compliance, and effective participant engagement - Lead operational initiatives that involve moderate to high risks, proactively identifying dependencies, risks, compliance factors, and possible efficiency enhancements - Collaborate closely with User Researchers, Design Directors, Product Operations, Product Managers, Legal, Privacy, and Procurement to translate research needs into actionable operational solutions - Develop and coordinate automated or semi-automated workflows (e.g., intake, scheduling, synthesis support, reporting) to minimize manual tasks and expedite research execution - Administer vendors, tools, contracts, and operational workflows within specified areas of responsibility, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to regulations - Define, monitor, and report on operational metrics to illustrate the impact of Research Ops services while informing prioritization and investment choices - Contribute to the development of Research Ops standards, documentation, and best practices to enhance consistency and maturity across the research organization - Mentor and support junior Research Ops team members, aiding in onboarding, skill development, and knowledge sharing
