Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Masters Degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or 12 years of experience in the field
- Must reside within a commutable distance to Atlanta or be willing to relocate
- At least 8 years of relevant experience with 3 years in managing and leading diverse teams
- Proven experience leading product delivery teams or equivalent program management on large, complex technical initiatives for 3 years
- Experience operating at multiple leadership levels including directors and VPs for 3 years
- Direct involvement in driving enterprise-wide and local continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional leadership teams and software development teams using Scrum or Kanban for 3 years
- Comprehensive mastery of the complete delivery lifecycle, including software development, infrastructure automation, and cybersecurity
- Proficient in adapting scaled agile practices, particularly in scenarios without tangible deliverables
- Expert knowledge of Agile frameworks and its effective application for achieving agility and market responsiveness
- Strong understanding of structured change management processes like ADKAR, Kotter, or 7-S
- Proven ability to resolve team conflicts and foster relationships in complex environments
- Proficient in Agile Lifecycle Management Tools (e.g., Rally, VersionOne, JIRA, TFS)
- Advanced skills in data analysis and interpretation, particularly in Excel or Power BI
- Willing to travel up to 25%
- Currently authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Take charge of the delivery, adaptability, and optimization for a director-level product and engineering team
- Lead high-performing release train leadership teams of directors managing 7-11 teams typically comprising 5-9 engineers each
- Implement Agile and Lean project management methodologies across all release train outputs
- Direct enterprise-scale capacity planning efforts across technology teams to ensure optimal resource usage
- Manage flow metrics and value stream optimization for the release train to enhance delivery throughput
- Oversee continuous planning processes, maintaining alignment between business goals and technical execution
- Conduct inspect and adapt ceremonies to promote systemic improvements and strategic resolution at the program level
- Foster and implement change management strategies across technology teams for cohesive adoption of new processes
- Facilitate decisions on team structure and reformations to ensure effective organizational design and norms for scaled delivery
- Provide direct supervision and mentoring to Scrum Masters to ensure proper execution of agile practices at the team level
- Collaborate with experts in solution delivery practices and grow expertise in essential skills for high-performance delivery organizations
- Stay updated on emerging tools, methods, and trends to facilitate organizational advancement
- Develop clear standards and best practices to enhance team operations and hire exceptional talent to bolster delivery capacity
- Ensure adherence to organizational AI policies and standards, while monitoring AI tool reliability and creating contingency plans
- Lead AI adoption efforts, leveraging clear messaging to enhance team functionality and empathize the human/AI interface
- Utilize AI insights to assess program performance and forecast capacity needs, making data-driven improvements for better delivery predictability and quality
