Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- At least 4 years of dedicated experience in cybersecurity
- Practical knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure, services, and on-premises systems
- Ability to effectively communicate the intent of cybersecurity policies to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong customer service, writing, and presentation abilities
- Proven capability to foster productive partnerships with key stakeholders
- Consultative approach to navigating complex or controversial issues
- Skills in risk evaluation and formulation of action based on potential impact and likelihood
- Familiarity with current cybersecurity architectures such as zero trust, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, virtualization, and containerization
- Creative problem-solving abilities related to cybersecurity challenges, combined with solid business insight
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Proven track record of implementing change and solutions in Fortune 1000 companies
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000, NIST) and applicable regulations (e.g., GDPR, GLBA)
- Experience working with AI agents to create and assess architectural frameworks
- Leadership in cross-functional teams for AI-enhanced solutions and compliance frameworks
- Ability to enhance vendor tool assessments using AI
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards across all layers of hosting and application stacks in cloud and on-premises environments
- Relevant experience in application security, SaaS, network security, and DevSecOps
- Expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), cryptography, and various security protocols
- Proficiency in technologies such as Python, .NET, Java, and cloud patterns
- Experience with firewalls and network architectures, including DMZ
- Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework
- Experience in implementing cloud enterprise solutions in AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Understanding of cloud containers or serverless platforms
- Background in big four consulting or Fortune 500 companies
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP) are preferred
Responsibilities
- Identify and propose relevant cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Lead the definition of cybersecurity guidelines within the product and enterprise architecture team by facilitating working groups
- Create secure design patterns in collaboration with product and enterprise architecture teams for implementation by engineering
- Contribute to governance patterns and policies outside of cybersecurity
- Analyze potential security risks to information systems and recommend innovative solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical and development teams to streamline release processes
- Work with business and engineering teams to establish cybersecurity guardrails for adopting secure design patterns seamlessly
- Engage in security events and incident response to detect design gaps and suggest preventive measures
- Research emerging security trends, threats, and technologies to propose enhancements
- Collaborate with data users and technical stakeholders to integrate security considerations into operations and development
- Partner with cybersecurity peers to incorporate various governance activities into cohesive cybersecurity standards
Description
We are seeking a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect to define the architectural principles, standards, and secure design methodologies for Cox Automotives diverse multi-cloud and on-premises environments. This position emphasizes the protection of multi-cloud infrastructures and on-premises systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and advocate for comprehensive cybersecurity architectural guidelines adopted by our engineering teams. The role reports directly to the Senior Director of Cybersecurity Architecture. We offer a competitive salary ranging between $148,500 - $247,500 annually, flexible vacation policies, paid holidays, wellness hours, and various other leaves.
