Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (2 years in product management, operations, or technology; or a masters degree and up to 2 years experience; or 6 years in product management or related fields without a degree).
- Foundational expertise in managing varied priorities in field operations and technology, including inspection workflow analysis and system integration (imaging hardware, mobile applications, APIs).
- Integrity and competency in fostering partnerships across operations and technology teams, driving innovation in product methodology, and emphasizing the successful execution of field deployments.
- Experience in the Automotive industry is preferred.
- Tech-savvy in emerging technologies like Computer Vision and AI for damage detection is advantageous.
- Proven track record of advancing inspection methodologies while focusing on quality and efficiency in field deployments.
Responsibilities
- Support product management efforts for designated inspection and imaging products or technology components.
- Utilize insights from inspectors, buyers, sellers, and reconditioning teams to enhance inspection experiences in both physical and digital domains.
- Gather requirements from field inspectors and auction operations to influence feature development with imaging technology, mobile apps, and AI/ML teams.
- Align inspection requirements with target market segments (wholesale auctions, retail dealers, OEM remarketing) and assess which channels to pursue actively.
- Identify typical users of assigned inspection products or imaging services (mobile inspectors, stationary lane photographers, remote condition reviewers, decision-makers).
- Collaborate with imaging operations, technology teams, and stakeholders to prepare business case documentation for new inspection features and infrastructure investments.
- Apply standard techniques to monitor product KPIs like inspection completion rates, image quality scores, damage detection precision, and turnaround times to verify success metrics.
- Pinpoint opportunities for testing and product improvements based on the analysis of inspection data and field feedback.
- Assist in resolving issues related to inspection workflows, imaging equipment, and mobile application challenges; develop product collateral and training resources, tracking results from pilot initiatives and rollouts.
- Ensure effective communication and knowledge transfer of lessons learned across inspection sites, facilitating collaboration among field operations, technology teams, and stakeholders.
