Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field and 6 years of experience in a relevant role, OR a masters degree with 4 years of experience, OR a Ph.D. with up to 1 year of experience, OR 18 years of directly applicable experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of recent experience in designing and developing web applications using Java.
- At least 4 years of experience in building and deploying applications within a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in middleware, backend, or API development.
- Preferred: Experience with AI technologies or a strong interest in integrating AI into development processes.
- Preferred: Development experience in Python and/or React.js.
- Preferred: Proficiency in AWS, with certifications such as Developer, Solutions Architect, or DevOps being advantageous.
- Significant experience leading or playing a key role in large-scale technical projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and deploy robust and scalable software solutions that align with user story requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests to uphold software quality and reliability.
- Assist in functional testing efforts for applications, modules, or new features.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.
- Decompose epics and user stories into technical tasks, providing accurate effort estimates.
- Develop deep knowledge of the applications, systems, and services under your purview.
- Engage actively in Agile ceremonies and work collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
- Document your work effectively and share insights with the team.
- Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS, focusing on cost, performance, and security.
- Improve infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to enhance performance, security, and deployment efficiency.
- Stay updated on new tools, technologies, and trends within your technical area.
- Investigate and implement AI capabilities to enhance code quality, deployment processes, and innovation.
- Mentor and provide support for junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance and peer programming.
- Ensure adherence to best practices through technical guidance and support for the team.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high standards of quality.
