Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree and a minimum of 6 years experience in a related field; alternative qualifications considered, such as a masters degree with 4 years experience, a Ph.D. with 1 year, or 18 years relevant experience
- Over 7 years in product management or ownership, with at least 3 years focused on financial systems, data products, or AI/ML solutions
- In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, billing, financial closing, forecasting, and reporting
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex B2B or internal enterprise solutions from concept to implementation
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, design, and business stakeholders
- Strong technical understanding, capable of discussing data architectures, APIs, ML models, and integration patterns
- Preferred: Background in finance, accounting, or FP&A (e.g., CPA, CMA, or MBA)
- Preferred: Practical experience in implementing AI/ML solutions within financial operations
- Preferred: Familiarity with contemporary financial systems (ERP, billing platforms, financial data warehouses)
- Preferred: Knowledge of data governance, financial controls, and SOX compliance requirements
- Preferred: Understanding of generative AI applications for financial analysis and reporting
- Exceptional ability to bridge technical and business contexts
- Data-driven mindset with robust analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
- Oversee the roadmap for financial data products and AI solutions that cater to internal finance stakeholders
- Collaborate with Product Owners for A/R and Billing to ensure synchronized roadmaps
- Identify opportunities where AI and automation can streamline processes, enhance accuracy, and expedite financial operations
- Balance multiple priorities across different finance functions while upholding a coherent product roadmap
- Partner with finance leadership to grasp evolving business requirements and convert them into actionable product specifications
- Develop robust relationships with Finance, Accounting, AP, and FP&A teams to comprehend their workflows, challenges, and opportunities
- Organize workshops and discovery sessions to extract unexpressed needs and validate proposed solutions
- Convert financial domain knowledge into concise requirements that the engineering teams can act upon
- Represent the voice of internal clients throughout the product development life cycle
- Define use cases for AI/ML applications in processes such as invoice handling, expense categorization, anomaly detection, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to define, prioritize, and implement AI-powered features that yield tangible business benefits
- Ensure that AI solutions are comprehensible, auditable, and compliant with financial regulations
- Monitor the performance of models and adapt based on user feedback and business results
- Manage and prioritize product backlogs across various workstreams, ensuring clarity in acceptance criteria and definition of completion
- Guide agile ceremonies like sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stakeholder demonstrations
- Make informed decisions based on data regarding feature trade-offs, technical debt, and release schedules
- Set and track KPIs to demonstrate product value and ROI to finance stakeholders
