Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or 4 years with a Masters degree, or 18 years of equivalent professional experience
- Proficient in batch and real-time data processing frameworks
- Solid experience with data modeling, data access, schemas, and data storage techniques, particularly with Snowflake
- Skilled in designing, developing, and implementing highly scalable software systems and major internet-oriented applications
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL, MySQL, and Postgres/PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and platforms
- Background in data quality tools
- Understanding of application lifecycle methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile, iterative)
- Knowledge of ETL processes and tools
- Experience using Git
- Exposure to DBT and AI-related tools, such as co-pilot
- Track record of implementing new tools in existing environments
- Scrum Developer Certification or equivalent is a plus
- Experience with Sisense, SQL Server Integration Services, and AWS data tools beneficial
- Proficiency in Python and experience with project management tools like Jira or Rally
Responsibilities
- Process both structured and unstructured data using various data processing frameworks
- Ensure data quality through the implementation of automated identification tools for data quality issues
- Collaborate with both internal and external data providers for data validation and customization
- Partner with the analytics organization to design effective data solutions addressing their challenges
- Recommend enhancements to processes and technologies to boost team efficiency and minimize technical debt
- Develop and optimize data solutions within enterprise data warehouses and big data environments
- Maintain, monitor, and support business intelligence and big data analytics tools
- Provide ongoing support for deployed products, including monitoring and maintenance tasks
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers
- Stay updated on emerging data technologies and practices, sharing insights within the organization
