Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and have at least 8 years of experience. Alternatively, I may possess a master’s degree with 6 years of experience, a Ph.D. with 3 years of experience, or 12 years of experience in a related domain.
- I have a minimum of 4 years dedicated to cybersecurity.
- I possess hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services, as well as on-premises systems.
- I can clearly communicate the goals of specific cybersecurity policies and procedures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- I demonstrate exceptional customer service, writing, and executive presentation abilities.
- I foster a positive and collaborative working environment with key stakeholders and work closely with other cybersecurity teams within the company to implement best practices.
- I have a consultative approach to navigating complex issues with employees, leaders, and/or senior management.
- I assess risks and provide recommendations based on their potential impact and likelihood.
- I stay informed about current cybersecurity and technology architectures, including zero trust, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, virtualization, and containerization.
- I creatively tackle complex cybersecurity challenges while exhibiting solid business acumen.
- I have experience applying Agile methodologies.
- I initiate change and deploy solutions within Fortune 1000 companies.
- I am knowledgeable about cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000, NIST, FFIEC) and relevant industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, FFIEC, GLBA) that inform architectural requirements.
Responsibilities
- I identify and recommend appropriate cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and guardrails.
- I lead working groups focused on cybersecurity to drive the definition of guidelines across product and enterprise architecture.
- I develop secure design patterns in collaboration with the product and enterprise architecture teams, ensuring they can be effectively implemented by engineering groups.
- I contribute to the formation of governance patterns, policies, and standards that are not solely focused on cybersecurity.
- I provide detailed analyses of potential risks to information systems and suggest innovative solutions.
- I collaborate with cross-functional technical, development, and delivery teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and scalable release processes.
- I engage with business and engineering teams to establish cybersecurity guardrails that facilitate the seamless adoption of secure design patterns.
- I participate in security events and incident response to identify vulnerabilities in current designs and propose preventive solutions.
- I research and evaluate emerging security trends, threats, and technologies, recommending relevant solutions and enhancements.
- I work with data users, software, and other technical stakeholders to ensure that security considerations underpin all development and operational decisions.
- I collaborate with my cybersecurity peers to integrate vulnerability management, governance, risk and compliance, cyber defense, continuous controls monitoring, and identity governance into our standards, creating a cohesive cybersecurity organization.
Description
I am eager to welcome a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect who will be responsible for establishing principles, standards, and design patterns to develop secure products and tools across Cox Automotive's multi-cloud and on-premises environments. This role emphasizes securing multi-cloud infrastructure and services, alongside on-premises systems. My team of cybersecurity architects will focus on various aspects of security, including application security, SaaS, and network security. In this position, I will utilize my extensive cybersecurity expertise to design and establish secure infrastructure and services in both multi-cloud and on-premises settings. Collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the organization is essential, as I will propose clear cybersecurity architectural guidelines that the product and enterprise engineering teams can adopt. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Cybersecurity Architecture at Cox Automotive. The compensation comprises a base salary ranging from $144,900.00 to $241,500.00 per year, which may vary depending on the position's location and the selected candidate's skills and experiences. Additional compensation may include an incentive program. I also offer eligible employees flexibility in taking vacation time based on their responsibilities and the company's needs, seven paid holidays per year, and up to 160 hours of paid wellness leave annually. Moreover, employees can benefit from additional paid time off for bereavement, jury duty, military service, and parental leave.
