Requirements

Must:
- I hold a bachelor's degree in a related field, accompanied by six years of experience in a similar domain. Alternatively, I may present a different combination such as a master's degree with four years of experience, a Ph.D. and one year of relevant experience, or ten years of experience in an equivalent field. - My experience spans at least four years, with a strong focus on cybersecurity. - I possess relevant expertise in designing, securing, or managing AWS infrastructure and services. - I can clearly convey the purpose of specific cybersecurity policies and procedures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - I demonstrate excellent customer service skills, along with strong writing and executive presentation abilities. - I have the ability to cultivate a positive working environment with key stakeholders and work collaboratively with other cybersecurity teams. - I maintain a consultative approach while addressing controversial or complex topics with employees and senior leadership. - I am skilled at evaluating risks and recommending actions based on their potential impact and likelihood for the business. - I have a solid understanding of current cybersecurity and technology architectures including zero trust, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, virtualization, containerization, DevSecOps, and software-defined networking across diverse environments and setups. - I am adept at creatively solving intricate cybersecurity problems while showcasing practical business insight. - I have experience utilizing Agile methodologies and initiating change within Fortune 1000 companies. - I am knowledgeable about cybersecurity frameworks (such as ISO 27000, NIST, FFIEC) and relevant regulations (including GDPR, FFIEC, GLBA) that guide architectural requirements.

Responsibilities

- I will communicate cybersecurity guidelines to engineering and business teams while facilitating their implementation. - I will be integrated with engineering teams, maintaining continuous communication to advise on their architecture decisions and assist with cybersecurity control implementation. - I will contribute to identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks based on threat modeling of products and enterprise tools. - I will provide cybersecurity architecture advice and consultation across major programs and solution levels. - I will engage with my cybersecurity peers to foster a unified cybersecurity department, sharing insights on business-specific activities while acting as the cybersecurity representative for product and engineering teams. - I will collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and engineering teams to review existing architectures, identify gaps, and suggest security improvements. - I will participate in security events and incident responses, identifying design flaws and proposing solutions to prevent future threats. - I will educate product and enterprise architects and engineers about cybersecurity best practices and standards. - I will work with legal and security governance, risk, and compliance teams to ensure that our cybersecurity architecture supports compliance with relevant regulatory and contractual obligations.

Preferred qualifications include experience in developing cybersecurity standard practices applicable across all layers of hosting and application stacks in both cloud and on-premises environments. Additionally, I possess knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), cryptography/key management, secrets management, access controls, and security protocols. My experience extends to application security implementations and best practices. Furthermore, I have extensive technical knowledge and recognized expertise in various areas including Python, .NET, Java, Spring frameworks, Oracle, serverless architecture, cloud patterns, and user authentication. I am also familiar with firewalls, web application firewalls, and other edge services along with a deep understanding of DMZ and other network architectures. My experience encompasses strategies for implementing cloud enterprise solutions in AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as a strong grasp of cloud containers or serverless platforms. I have previous experience in industries critical to national infrastructure and have worked with big consultancy firms or Fortune 500 companies. I hold relevant industry certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, Azure, AWS, CISM, or CISA. Compensation for this role ranges from $119,600.00 to $199,400.00 annually, based on factors including the location of the role and the candidate’s qualifications. Our company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take vacation time as they see fit, along with seven paid holidays each year. Additionally, employees can accumulate up to 160 hours of paid wellness time annually for personal or family wellbeing, along with other forms of paid time off such as bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer time, military leave, and parental leave.
