Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- One (1) year of experience with general computer systems and public safety technology systems, including radio, wireless, microwave, security, surveillance, and video systems
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Valid drivers license applicable to job responsibilities, with an acceptable driving record
- Completion of specialized training to maintain job-related skills and technical knowledge
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, development, integration, and evaluation of public safety technology systems
- Coordinate troubleshooting and implementation of public safety software systems
- Handle issues related to video, computer terminals, and hardware with contractors or external agencies
- Work on complex networked video surveillance systems while maintaining their integrity
- Evaluate hardware and software resources, making recommendations for growth and service expansion
- Ensure quality and optimization of radio, wireless, microwave, and security systems
- Conduct system maintenance and develop security protocols for public safety technologies
- Perform security audits and implement recovery processes in alignment with disaster recovery strategies
- Troubleshoot general computer systems and specialized public safety technologies
- Engage with management to resolve operational issues and enhance team performance
- Stay updated on trends and innovations in the field and participate in continuous education
