Requirements
Must:
- 10-15 years of experience in software and data architecture, with a specific focus on enterprise-scale data ecosystems for at least 7-10 years.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement data-intensive, cloud-native systems.
- Proficient in Data Lakes (AWS S3, Azure Data Lake) and Data Warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift); modern ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, etc.).
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Solid foundation in data modeling, metadata management, and data governance.
- Proven experience in conducting architecture evaluations, establishing standards, and having an enterprise-wide influence.
- In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and DevOps workflows.
- Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Masters preferred).
Responsibilities
- Craft and convey a compelling vision for CoreSites integrated data and analytics architecture.
- Develop strategies for data products and manage their lifecycle effectively.
- Ensure alignment of data strategies with enterprise objectives to enhance operational efficiency and support digital transformation.
- Establish and maintain architectural standards and guardrails for data, API, and AI systems.
- Assess and incorporate new technologies to elevate CoreSites data capabilities.
- Architect and supervise the development of secure, scalable, and distributed data platforms.
- Design modern architectures that unify data lakes, data warehouses, event-driven pipelines, and machine learning frameworks.
- Lead initiatives for end-to-end data flow design, ensuring reliability and high performance across all data domains.
- Utilize Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to create well-structured data services.
- Guarantee that architecture supports hybrid cloud integration and elasticity (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Promote enterprise-wide adoption of data literacy and self-service analytics.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, DevOps, data science, and business teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive teams, shaping the technology landscape and investment strategies.
- Facilitate architectural reviews and guide decision-making processes among technical teams.
- Advocate for best practices in data integration, API architecture, and cross-platform functionality.
- Implement enterprise data governance frameworks to uphold data quality and compliance.
- Set standards for lifecycle management related to master data, metadata, and reference data.
- Partner with DevOps to optimize CI/CD pipelines and enhance data testing and automation.
- Ensure consistent use of data models and architectural templates across the organization.
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of data engineers and architects.
- Oversee the standards and processes of the Data Engineering practice, driving continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of innovation and architectural excellence within the team.
