Requirements
Must:
- Comprehensive understanding of system build and a wide array of functionalities supporting oncology patients along their cancer care journey, including diagnosis, tumor board, navigation, treatment, support, and survivorship.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with oncology end users to analyze workflows, pinpoint risks, and craft solutions that enhance functionality.
- Strong foundation in clinical oncology care essential for building beacon treatment, supportive, and research protocols.
- Familiarity with facility structure, department, and pharmacy setup.
- Preferred experience in Epic Ambulatory and Willow.
- Experience with oncology-focused third-party systems is advantageous.
- Bachelors degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field; however, equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 6-10 years experience in relevant roles. 5-7 years of pertinent clinical, certification, and/or technical experience may substitute if a proven track record is shown.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of translating IT terminology and processes to key stakeholders.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Proficient in multitasking in a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Enhance, support, and maintain applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate the analysis and development of new functionalities.
- Build, test, and implement new functionalities, maintenance adjustments, and fixes.
- Review and manage scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades.
- Analyze, diagnose, and execute system and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with change management procedures and protocols for system changes.
- Serve as an application subject matter expert when assigned to project teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system functionalities and configuration of new tools.
- Document current and future state workflows thoroughly.
- Create and maintain comprehensive test scripts.
- Develop, plan, and execute testing for the supported applications.
- Meet project deadlines consistently and strive to exceed expectations.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve technically challenging issues involving integrated systems.
- Design, construct, execute, and maintain integration test scripts and user acceptance test plans.
