Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of combined IT and graphic design experience
- Strong understanding of HTML and web design principles
- Proficient in graphic applications, HTML development tools, and web production
- Familiar with user-centered design methodology and usability testing
- Ability to produce design prototypes and conduct user interface consulting
- Experience in collaborative projects with graphic designers, product managers, and engineering staff
- Knowledge of platform/browser compatibility and usability issues
- Ability to lead projects and mentor junior technical staff
Responsibilities
- Design and create user-centered designs for websites
- Conduct human factors engineering and heuristic evaluations
- Perform usability testing for web and client-based applications
- Set metrics and monitor usability assessments for web applications
- Collaborate with graphic designers, product managers, and engineering teams to enhance usability
- Gather user interface requirements and develop page/site prototypes
- Integrate design elements into program rules and system architecture
- Propose innovative solutions to improve the end-user experience
- Handle multiple projects and act as a project leader when necessary
