Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, technology, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience/certifications)
- At least 5 years of experience in relevant technology disciplines
- Minimum 5 years in advancing IT leadership roles
- 5 or more years in a public sector environment
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
- Strong emotional intelligence
- Advanced knowledge of various IT control practices and large infrastructure environments
- Expertise in application and infrastructure high-availability and resiliency architectures
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and operational management skills
- Ability to effectively analyze projects, assess technical risks, and communicate impacts to the organization
- Capable of articulating complex technology topics both verbally and in writing across all organizational levels
- Operates with urgency and understands business impact
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the incident response efforts for AIM while collaborating with various departments
- Partner with senior leadership for governance, strategy, and processes to forward AIMs mission
- Develop and implement technical incident response strategies from initiation to conclusion
- Oversee the execution of the incident response plan and maintain comprehensive documentation
- Collaborate with the Mayors Office of Emergency Preparedness on city operations
- Identify, configure, and acquire systems to enhance incident response capabilities
- Manage the deployment and utilization of systems for incident response protocols
- Ensure continuity of operations protocols are followed by collaborating with relevant stakeholders
- Facilitate tabletop exercises to enhance effectiveness and readiness of continuity plans
- Serve as incident manager during declared incidents and coordinate related activities
- Lead root cause analysis for technology incidents and follow up on identified recommendations
- Coordinate joint operations center activations for citywide preparedness, including after-hours support
- Act as AIMs safety warden, overseeing emergency preparedness activities
