Requirements
Must:
- Visual acuity for reading existing labels
- Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office, including OneDrive, Teams, Excel, and Word
- Understanding of fiber cabling (single vs multimode) and various cable connector types (ST, SC, LC, MPO, RJ45, etc.)
- Capability to trace and label cables in a working setting
Responsibilities
- Assist in refining and updating network cabling documentation
- Perform light organization and cleanup of network closets
- Manage cable organization
- Document current copper and fiber connections in network data closets
- Update Excel spreadsheet information for each closet
- Utilize a laptop and label printer for creating labels for fiber patch panels and cables
- Alert the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure regarding any concerns
- Conduct minor cleaning of debris in network closets
