Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in writing and debugging embedded firmware using C.
- Understanding of firmware design methodologies employing formal techniques (e.g., UML, state diagrams, flow charts).
- Familiarity with real-time embedded operating systems.
- Proficient in utilizing version control tools and adhering to coding standards and process flows.
- Knowledge of communication protocols; familiarity with Ethernet, CAN/J1939, and MODBUS is advantageous.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Lua is a plus.
- Direct experience with ARM microprocessors.
- Familiarity with Eclipse development environments is beneficial.
- Enthusiastic about creativity and committed to producing top-tier products; a positive, can-do attitude is essential.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, along with relevant professional experience.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous support, enhance, and resolve issues for existing products using C and C#.
- Develop, debug, and verify firmware for new products utilizing C and scripting languages.
- Produce thorough documentation to support engineering efforts and production maintenance.
- Assist in diagnosing field-related issues and conducting failure/root cause analysis on returned products.
Description
We are a developer and manufacturer specializing in microprocessor-based engine controls, seeking an embedded firmware design engineer to join our innovative team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary (ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually) and includes benefits such as a 401(k) with a 3% match, dental and health insurance, flexible scheduling, life and vision insurance, and paid time off.
