We expect the following qualifications from candidates:
- For Entry-Level Engineer (E01) - New Graduates:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear).
- Ability to maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access as applicable, along with a favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position responsibilities.
- For Mid-Level Engineer (E02):
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, with at least 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Must comply with additional criteria outlined in the ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard regarding the selection, qualification, and training of personnel in nuclear power plants.
- Ability to maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access as applicable, along with a favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position responsibilities.
- For Senior Engineer (E03):
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Must comply with additional criteria outlined in the ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard regarding the selection, qualification, and training of personnel in nuclear power plants.
- Ability to maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access as applicable, along with a favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position responsibilities.
Responsibilities
As a Strategic Engineer at our Quad Cities Generating Station in Cordova, IL, you will:
- Deliver in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and execute engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
- Provide technical assistance and consultation via direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system challenges.
- Oversee the complete management of engineering tasks.
- Execute engineering assignments as directed by supervision by applying engineering principles.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of your work, maintaining proper configuration management, and adhering to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes in the formulation of plans and specifications.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
- Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction processes, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with modifications in codes or regulations.
- Undertake additional job assignments and responsibilities as instructed by management or in accordance with company policy, which may include emergent response, departmental coverage, on-call duties, and supporting outage activities in roles outside your department.
