Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) along with 10 years of engineering experience.
- I possess demonstrated technical leadership skills (e.g., as a Duty team lead or inspection lead), along with strong teamwork and leadership attributes.
- I am able to maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as necessary, and I have successfully passed medical examinations and/or testing relevant to my position duties.
Responsibilities
- I perform advanced nuclear engineering and technical tasks that support nuclear plant operations.
- I conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support various technical projects.
- I provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering activities that ensure plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability, while complying with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
- I am accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of my work, ensuring proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, and codes in the preparation of plans and specifications.
- I offer technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
- I take initial or complete responsibility for managing engineering tasks and issues.
- I recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
- I support plant design modifications, testing, and problem-solving initiatives.
- I ensure that all engineering products I prepare or oversee meet applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements.
- I develop, implement, and coordinate functional supervisory activities, including managing personnel, budgetary responsibilities, and planning goals regarding engineering staff.
- I undertake all other job tasks and duties as outlined by company policy or as directed by management, including emergency response duties, department duty coverage or call-out, and roles outside my department to support outage activities.
