Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with at least 10 years of engineering experience.
- I have demonstrated technical leadership experience (for example, in roles such as Duty team lead or inspection lead), showcasing teamwork and leadership qualities.
- I maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and have a favorable medical examination and/or testing in alignment with the responsibilities of my position.
Responsibilities
- I perform advanced nuclear engineering and technical tasks to support nuclear plant operations.
- I conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses for various technical projects.
- I provide in-depth technical expertise for the development, management, and implementation of engineering activities that are essential for plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability while ensuring alignment with customer needs, regulatory obligations, and corporate policies.
- I am accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of my work, ensuring proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, and codes in the preparation of plans and specifications.
- I offer technical expertise and consultation through my direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system challenges.
- I manage engineering issues, either initially or completely.
- I recommend equipment, innovative concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, streamline construction, reduce costs, rectify design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
- I support plant design modifications, testing, and problem-solving activities.
- I ensure that all engineering products I prepare or oversee comply with the relevant safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
- I develop, implement, and coordinate functional supervisory activities, including personnel management, budgetary accountabilities, and engineering personnel planning goals.
- I undertake other job assignments and/or responsibilities as per company policy or directives from management, which may include Emergency Response duties, Department coverage or call-outs, and roles outside of my department to support outage activities.
