Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with a minimum of 5 years of nuclear or relevant engineering experience.
- Must meet the necessary access or unescorted access requirements, along with a favorable medical examination and/or testing relevant to position duties.
Responsibilities
- I will perform advanced technical and engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations, acting as a resource and technical expert for engineers.
- I will provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
- I will offer technical expertise and consultation by directly participating and serving as a subject matter expert when called upon to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
- I will take on engineering leadership accountability for short-term and long-term programs affecting site operations.
- I will execute engineering tasks as assigned, applying sound engineering principles.
- I am accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of my work, ensuring proper configuration management and adherence to applicable design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes during the preparation of plans and specifications.
- I will conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects and programs.
- I will recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or ensure compliance with changes in codes or regulations.
- Additionally, I will undertake other job assignments and duties per company policy or at the direction of management, which may include emergency response duties, department coverage, call-out, and supporting outage activities outside my department.
