Must:
We require a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience with outstanding performance. The approval of the VP of Engineering is necessary to achieve this classification. Preferred candidates will have a strong performance rating for the past two years in one of the following: - Process Engineering experience within the Natural Gas sector - Experience with rotating equipment (including piping design, pumps, compressors, generators, natural gas processing, cryogenics, etc.) - Recognition as a fleet or industry expert in a specific knowledge or skill area - Registration as a structural or professional engineer Additionally, candidates should have one of the following qualifications: - Leadership experience at the site or corporate level (leading HITs, project managing outages or on-line work, serving as the lead for issue resolution, or acting as the troubleshooting lead) - Interdepartmental experience

Responsibilities

In this role, I will be responsible for performing advanced engineering problem-solving to support our power plants. I will make significant technical decisions and will possess extensive knowledge in my technical discipline, alongside an excellent understanding of the relevant industry codes and regulations. My primary duties will include: - Providing in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering activities related to safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability of our plants, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, regulatory demands, and corporate policies. - Being accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of my work, ensuring proper configuration management, and utilizing standard design criteria, practices, and codes in the preparation of plans and specifications. - Offering technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system issues through direct involvement. - Conducting independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects. - Managing engineering task issues from initiation to completion. - Recommending equipment, novel concepts, and techniques aimed at improving performance, simplifying construction, reducing costs, rectifying design or material flaws, or adapting to changes in codes or regulations. - Supporting modifications, testing, and problem-solving related to plant design. - Ensuring that all engineering products I prepare or oversee align with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements. - Developing, implementing, and coordinating functional supervisory activities, including personnel, budgetary accountability, and planning goals concerning engineering personnel.
