Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements as applicable, along with favorable medical examination and/or testing according to position duties
- For Mid Level, 2 years of relevant experience in nuclear or science disciplines is required
- The outlined requirements must adhere to ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.6.1) Standard for personnel selection, qualification, and training in Nuclear Power Plants
- Qualified Nuclear Engineer (QNE) certification must be obtained within 24 months of appointment
- Engineering in Training certification is preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering and technical tasks in support of nuclear plant operations under direct supervision
- Ensure all engineering analyses and recommendations comply with relevant safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory standards
- Execute reactor engineering and technical assignments as directed by supervision
- Support various reactor engineering functions and initiatives
- Undertake additional job tasks as specified by company policy or management, which may include emergency response duties, departmental coverage, and assistance with outage activities
