Must:
We seek individuals with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or a related scientific field. Alternatively, candidates may hold a Professional Engineer license or an Active/Inactive SRO License with a minimum of 5 years of engineering or related experience, including at least 1 year in a nuclear power plant. Additional qualifications must align with the ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard for personnel selection, qualification, and training in nuclear power plants. It is essential to maintain any necessary access requirements, including favorable results from medical examinations and/or testing as applicable to the position.
Responsibilities
As the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager, I am responsible for overseeing the engineering function in alignment with site requirements and regulatory standards. My role includes managing the performance and growth of engineering personnel, ensuring they achieve high-quality engineering outcomes that support both site and corporate goals. I will fulfill engineering and technical leadership responsibilities for short-term and long-term projects that impact site operations. My duties also encompass involvement in business planning, budgeting, and performance reviews concerning my team. Additionally, I will serve as a senior resource participating in company-wide programs aimed at standardizing and enhancing engineering systems and processes. I may be required to perform various assignments as directed by management or in accordance with company policy, which may include emergency response, covering other departments, call-outs, and assisting with outage activities outside our department.
