Lead Staff Engineer

In this role, I will rely on you to conduct advanced engineering and technical tasks that support our nuclear plant operations. You will be responsible for performing independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in relation to various technical projects. You will provide extensive technical knowledge to develop, manage, and implement engineering initiatives geared toward plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability, while ensuring compliance with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies. Accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work will be your responsibility, ensuring that standard design criteria, practices, and codes are adhered to in the preparation of plans and specifications. Your technical expertise and involvement will be critical in identifying and resolving equipment and system issues. You will manage engineering issues from initial stages to completion, recommending improvements in equipment and concepts to enhance performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, address design or material flaws, and comply with any changes in codes or regulations. You'll have a role in supporting plant design modifications, testing, and problem-solving while ensuring that all engineering products meet the relevant safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements. Moreover, you’ll be expected to develop, implement, and coordinate functional supervisory activities, including personnel management, budgetary accountability, and planning goals related to engineering personnel. Additionally, you will perform various other job assignments as directed by management, encompassing emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and support of outage activities outside the department.
