Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or related scientific field, or a Professional Engineer license
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering or related experience, including at least 1 year in a nuclear power plant
- Ability to maintain access requirements and pass medical exams/tests as needed for the position
- Supervisory or managerial experience (preferred)
- Professional Engineer registration (preferred)
- Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework (preferred)
- Experience in Electrical Design Engineering (preferred)
- Background in Transmission and/or Digital Relay Protection (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical guidance to develop, oversee, and execute engineering analyses and programs.
- Offer technical consultation as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
- Hold engineering and technical leadership responsibilities for programs that influence site operations in both the short and long term.
- Execute engineering and technical assignments as instructed, utilizing general engineering principles.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and punctuality of work, maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to design standards and regulations.
- Conduct independent research, evaluations, and analyses to support various technical projects and programs.
- Suggest equipment, new methods, and innovative techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction, reduce expenses, or address design/material flaws as well as comply with evolving codes and regulations.
- Perform additional assignments or duties as per company policy or management direction, including emergency response tasks and support for outage activities.
