Requirements
Must:
- We require a BS or MS degree in Computer Science or another STEM discipline.
- We need strong experience with data structures and multi-threaded programming.
- We look for solid knowledge of SQL and core database concepts.
- We require excellent communication and analytical abilities.
- We prefer extensive experience with C# and Java.
- We prefer experience with high-speed messaging infrastructure, exchange gateways, and low-latency market data feeds.
- We value familiarity with ORC software.
- We prefer working knowledge of C/C++, SQL, and stored procedures.
- We look for experience with TCP/IP socket-based network programming.
- We prefer hands-on experience with SSAS and SSIS.
- We value experience integrating with exchange APIs.
- GUI experience with WPF or WinForms is a plus.
- Financial services background, especially options trading knowledge, is preferred.
- We also welcome Python experience.
- We value knowledge of UDP/IP and TCP/IP networking protocols.
- Experience working in POSIX environments and with distributed systems is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving ability and a collaborative mindset are essential.
Responsibilities
- We will have you build new trading solutions that strengthen our next-generation ultra-low-latency infrastructure.
- We will have you refine existing trading systems to lower latency and improve throughput.
- We will expect you to carry projects from initial development through production deployment.
- We will have you partner with traders and researchers to enhance current trading tools and workflows.
- We will have you contribute across areas such as highly optimized data structures, market data handling, order routing, and strategy simulation.
- We will rely on you to work in a fast-moving, data-driven environment and apply a scientific approach to problem solving.

This full-time, in-person role is based in Chicago, Illinois, with a compensation range of $70,000 to $100,000 per year and bonus opportunities.
