Must:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- You must be a U.S. citizen with an active TOP SECRET security clearance and eligibility for SCI access.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a medium to large enterprise IT environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in the following areas:
- Fundamental networking concepts, including VLAN, trunking, and port channel
- Familiarity with data communications, local-area networking, wide-area networking, routers, and switches
- Knowledge of network (Layer 2, 3) LAN/WAN and their associated switches and routers
- Understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) routing, switching, and the OSI model.
- We value critical thinking skills and seek self-starters who can juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
- You should approach work with a diplomatic attitude while being adaptable to a dynamic environment and demonstrating dependability.
- Effective coordination and communication skills across various agencies and the ability to interface regularly with senior leaders are essential.
Responsibilities
As our Systems Engineer, you will:
- Participate in local user gatherings, including Daily Ops briefings, Configuration Control Boards, Engineering Review Boards, and ticket reviews.
- Provide briefings to leadership regarding program status based on information provided by the Government.
- Attend commander conferences, staff meetings, director calls, and other relevant unit meetings related to deployed programs and systems.
- Relay crucial program information back to the Program Management Office (PMO) through teleconferences, emails, and weekly updates.
- Collaborate with program Subject Matter Experts to coordinate system-specific tasks such as Change Requests and cross-functional communication.
Additionally, you will report on:
- A summary of all work completed in the previous month.
- The mission impact of the completed work, addressing areas such as schedule, cost, and performance.
- The status of current efforts, including issues or risks that may arise.
Besides acting as a liaison in the field, you may also be required to provide on-site Field Service Engineering tasks when directed by the Government. These tasks may include equipment configuration, troubleshooting, installation, and conducting data calls and site surveys.
