Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CCNP, or a comparable qualification.
- Over 8 years of experience in network administration and support, particularly with routers, switches, and firewalls, alongside Windows server experience.
- Strong proficiency with networking protocols and Cisco networking equipment, IronPort, and CheckPoint.
- Experience in using network and systems monitoring tools (e.g., WhatsUpGold, Wireshark).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to automate network tasks using scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Windows server administration and load balancers (e.g., F5) is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the network team to implement, manage, and troubleshoot our computer networks.
- Configure and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), internet connections, and other communication systems.
- Oversee network security, performance optimization, and availability.
- Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
- Monitor network traffic performance, identify potential problems, and forecast network capacity to implement necessary upgrades.
- Manage network services like DNS, DHCP, and IP configurations.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues affecting the network.
- Provide technical assistance to users facing network-related challenges.
- Stay updated on emerging network technologies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams and configurations.
- Under the guidance of the CISO, implement security measures such as firewalls and VPNs, and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist with security audits and penetration testing initiatives.
