Requirements

Must:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in troubleshooting and supporting desktop operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and iOS - Proficient troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities - Familiarity with computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications - Experience in supporting end-user applications and IT systems - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities - Strong documentation and organizational skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt within a fast-paced setting - Ability to research and resolve a broad spectrum of technical issues - Experience working effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

- Address and resolve IT support tickets and service requests - Deploy, configure, and assist with end-user workstations running Windows and macOS - Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and application-related issues - Log user inquiries, troubleshooting methods, and solutions in the ticketing system - Ensure client data protection by adhering to established support protocols - Prioritize and manage support tickets based on urgency and impact - Escalate issues as necessary according to the support process - Track and record the complete lifecycle of help desk requests - Utilize diagnostic tools to pinpoint and fix technical problems - Research solutions using vendor documentation and internal resources - Maintain clear communication with users regarding their open support requests - Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency support - Continuously enhance technical knowledge related to supported systems

Description


We are seeking a Helpdesk Specialist to serve as the initial point of technical support for our clients and end users. In this role, you will troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking challenges to ensure users remain productive and systems function optimally. This position is well-suited for individuals who take pleasure in resolving problems, engaging with users directly, and supporting diverse IT environments. The Helpdesk Specialist is essential in providing dependable technical assistance and fostering strong client relationships. We offer a pay range of $17.00 – $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, along with benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) retirement plan, and a remote work environment in Lansing, MI.
