Requirements
Must:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Extensive experience in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design
- Proficient in embedded firmware development, preferably in real-time systems
- Competence in C and assembly programming
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines within a structured framework
- Strong communication skills with an aptitude for cross-functional collaboration
- Familiarity with Altium and Python programming is preferred
- Knowledge of power supply design and Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Understanding of Six Sigma concepts and project management experience is a plus
- Leadership experience or training is advantageous
- Exposure to industrial controls, 3-phase power systems, and electric utility telecommunications is desirable
Responsibilities
- Direct the design, development, and launch of electronic products and sub-assemblies
- Create engineering concepts, system architectures, and detailed product specifications
- Design hardware and embedded software solutions that are manufacturable
- Architect microprocessor systems, including embedded firmware and associated circuitry
- Develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits
- Establish Built-In Test (BIT) functionalities and production test fixtures for low-volume manufacturing
- Formulate qualification strategies and carry out testing to confirm designs meet specifications
- Draft and assess test plans, execute tests, and analyze outcomes
- Conduct design reviews for circuit integrity and product reliability
- Generate and update technical documentation such as manuals, data sheets, and assembly/test documentation
- Assist assembly teams and test technicians with process documentation and fixture development
- Oversee project plans and schedules within an ISO9001 framework
- Mentor and support co-op and junior engineers
