Requirements
Must:
- Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline with over 2 years of experience OR a Bachelors Degree with more than 3 years of relevant experience
- Technical experience in FPGA-based digital circuits and/or embedded systems
- Proficiency in firmware testing and hardware debugging
- Familiarity with digital interface implementation (SPI, PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet)
- Experience with laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
- Knowledge in DSP analysis and/or implementation
- Capability to implement FPGA designs in hardware
- Proven problem-solving skills for complex technical issues
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work safely in laboratory settings
- Willingness to rapidly learn and apply advanced technical concepts
- Active Top Secret clearance preferred (candidates must be eligible for Secret-level DoD clearance)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded systems for cutting-edge space applications
- Decompose processing chains into modular components for efficient development
- Create synthesizable VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog designs
- Implement FPGA designs in hardware, including creating constraint files
- Test and debug firmware in simulation and hardware environments
- Integrate various digital interfaces including SPI, PCIe, and Gigabit Ethernet
- Conduct circuit card assembly-level debugging and verification
- Support laboratory and hardware-in-the-loop testing efforts
- Contribute to digital signal processing (DSP) analysis and implementation initiatives
