Requirements
Must:
- Technical certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are beneficial
- A minimum of 10 years in an advanced IT support capacity
- At least 12 years of relevant experience in technical support roles
- Experience with ConnectWise and/or various IT ticketing systems is a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tenant, licensing, and software administration
- Expertise in Microsoft server administration and support, including Hyper-V
- Proficient in RMM and PSA tools
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise firewalls (e.g., SonicWALL, Cisco, Fortinet, Watchguard)
- Skills in firewall policy configuration and troubleshooting
- Experience in NAT design and implementation
- Proficiency in VPN configuration (site-to-site and remote access)
- Strong grasp of networking concepts, VLAN design, and implementation
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and Meraki switches is highly valued
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on client needs
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service through technical expertise and clear communication
- Resolve support tickets from clients, Tier 2 engineers, or internal systems
- Maintain and update client documentation regularly
- Communicate thoroughly with clients regarding progress, outcomes, and set proper expectations
- Enhance technical skills through ongoing certification and industry research
- Achieve established performance goals
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues, identifying root causes rather than just symptoms
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues involving networking, firewall configuration, and hardware problems
