Requirements
Must:
- I need candidates with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Network Operations (a BA or military service can account for 2 of those years).
- The position requires a Top Secret clearance with an IT-I sensitivity level.
- You should possess a DoD-approved 8570/8140 baseline certification in Category IAT Level I, such as A+, Network+, or Security+.
- A current Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) certification is essential.
- Computing environment qualifications should include certifications like CCNA, CCNP, CWNP, CWDP, and CTNS.
Responsibilities
- You will demonstrate the capability to work autonomously or with minimal direction on moderately complex tasks that involve analysis, planning, programming, and implementation.
- I expect you to make recommendations for the approval of significant network installations when necessary and coordinate closely with other information system professionals to guarantee proper execution of network services.
- You will collaborate with functional users to develop alternative solutions and contingency plans.
- Providing technical and administrative guidance for personnel responsible for telecommunications network design and implementation is part of the role. This includes reviewing work products for accuracy, adherence to design concepts, user standards, and ensuring progress aligns with schedules.
- You should possess expertise in designing and managing telecommunications networks, including voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and network management systems to support both voice and data services.
Description
This role is on-site at various DLA facilities, including locations such as Columbus, OH; New Cumberland, PA; Battle Creek, MI; Richmond, VA; and Fort Belvoir, VA. Responsibilities also include preparing milestone status reports and delivering presentations on network progress to colleagues and end-user representatives, as well as developing designs and maintenance plans for telecommunications systems from project inception to completion.
