Requirements

Must:
We require candidates to have at least seven (7) years of experience in Network Operations, with a Bachelor’s degree or military service counting for up to two of those years. A Top Secret clearance is mandatory, with a sensitivity level of IT-I – Critical Sensitive required. You should also hold an approved DoD 8570/8140 Baseline Certification in Category IAT Level I, which includes certifications like A+, Network+, or Security+. Additionally, a current Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) certification is necessary. Candidates should have familiarity with computing environments such as CCNA, CCNP, CWNP, CWDP, and CTNS.

Responsibilities

In this role, I expect you to demonstrate the capability to work autonomously or with minimal supervision, managing moderately complex tasks related to analysis, planning, programming, and implementation. You will be responsible for recommending major network installations and ensuring proper implementation of network services through close collaboration with other information system professionals. In partnership with functional users, you will create alternative solutions and contingency plans. Your role will also involve providing technical and administrative guidance to personnel handling telecommunications network design, implementation, and operations tasks, which includes reviewing work products for accuracy and alignment with design concepts, user standards, and project timelines. You should apply your experience in telecommunications network design and management, particularly in voice networks, LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and network management systems supporting voice and data services. You will analyze and devise telecommunications networks that support various functionalities such as voice, data, video, and wireless services. Moreover, you will define problems, develop system requirements, and establish network specifications.

This position is located on-site at DLA facilities in places like Columbus, OH; New Cumberland, PA; Battle Creek, MI; Richmond, VA; and Fort Belvoir, VA.
