Requirements
Must:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification
- Change Management Certifications
- Proven experience as a practicing Project Manager with a track record of managing at least three complex IT projects, each lasting a minimum of six months with budgets exceeding $500,000
- Availability to work 100% on-site at a Government of Saskatchewan office in Regina
- Experience with government entities in Saskatchewan or similar organizations
- Background in delivering IT projects within the public sector (government, Crown corporations, healthcare, education) and familiarity with formal governance and audit processes
- Experience operating within established governance structures, such as executive steering committees
- Proficient in planning, executing, and adapting stakeholder communications for complex IT initiatives with diverse stakeholders
- Expertise in managing cloud-based IT projects, including SaaS implementations and cloud migrations
- Experience in leading and motivating teams, fostering collaborative cooperation among internal and external stakeholders
- Skills in developing and maintaining project management artifacts
- Experience with Agile or hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) project delivery approaches
- Knowledge of integrating Organizational Change Management practices into IT project delivery
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Project Leadership Team to formulate the detailed project plan
- Develop and maintain the Project Plan, securing approval from the Project Management Delivery Office and the Executive Sponsor as required
- Ensure the project adheres to standards, processes, and documentation that comply with Project Management Institute guidelines
- Support executive steering committees through effective project governance, including timely reporting, risk identification, and clear recommendations
- Deliver project outputs on time, within budget, and according to specifications, ensuring objectives are achieved
- Ensure compliance of work products and deliverables with technical standards
- Manage projects using Agile or hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) methodologies while aligning with approved governance
