Requirements
Must:
- Strong hands-on experience with Asterisk (dialplan + AGI)
- Familiarity with MySQL (replication, clustering, or high availability setups)
- Proficient in Linux systems administration (preferably Ubuntu)
- Prior experience deploying production systems (bare-metal preferred)
- Robust understanding of distributed systems concepts (failover, replication, consistency)
- Preferred experience with MySQL Group Replication or similar clustering methods (Galera, Percona)
- Background in telecom, VoIP, or carrier infrastructure
- Knowledge of object storage systems (MinIO, S3, Ceph)
- Experience with SIP trunking and call routing systems
- Understanding of deterministic or rule-based routing engines
Responsibilities
- Deploy and enhance Asterisk-based IVR systems across three points of presence (POPs)
- Implement MySQL Group Replication using a single-primary architecture
- Configure MySQL Router for seamless failover management
- Construct and validate deterministic SQL-based routing logic
- Deploy and set up MinIO with cross-POP replication
- Integrate SIP trunks with MetaSwitch for round-robin call delivery
- Design and conduct failover and resilience testing scenarios
- Develop operational runbooks and monitoring protocols

This full-time role offers a contract-to-permanent path and requires relocation to Pittsburgh.
