Requirements

Must:
- 10 years of experience in cybersecurity is required - 10 years of experience in threat detection and response is required - Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts, including LAN/WAN architecture, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), IPsec VPNs, and DHCP/DNS services - Proficiency with network security technologies, such as Cisco ASA firewalls, load balancing solutions, and SAN storage management - Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST standards and COBIT governance practices - Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, particularly Splunk or SolarWinds, for log analysis and threat detection - Familiarity with cloud computing architectures, particularly on AWS and Google Cloud Platform - Ability to conduct vulnerability research and system hardening using open-source tools - Knowledge of encryption methods, including PKI certificates, and system security hardening techniques

Responsibilities

- Design and implement network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, and encryption protocols - Execute comprehensive vulnerability assessments using tools such as SIEM solutions and vulnerability scanners - Develop and maintain system security plans that comply with ISO 27000 standards as well as other regulatory frameworks - Manage incident detection, response, and recovery by analyzing alerts from various threat intelligence sources - Oversee identity & access management initiatives using tools like LDAP and Active Directory - Collaborate with IT teams to enhance the security of operating systems and network devices - Assist in disaster recovery planning and high-availability configurations for critical systems
