Requirements
Must:
- 3-5 years of practical experience with CAD/CAM and 3D modeling software, preferably Siemens NX/Solidworks
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
- OR equivalent relevant experience
- Practical experience with programming in Siemens NX, including NX Open development
- Strong expertise in G-code programming for CNC machining
- Knowledge of CAM processes and CNC machining operations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in reading and writing in English.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain NX Open programs, macros, and automation scripts for tire mold design and engineering processes
- Write, modify, and optimize G-code programs for CNC machining of tire molds
- Convert 3D models and tire mold designs into precise machining paths and toolpaths
- Automate repetitive design and machining tasks within Siemens NX to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with engineers, mold designers, and CNC programmers to ensure effective design translation into manufacturing
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with NX automation tools and G-code programs
- Maintain documentation for all software tools, scripts, and machining instructions
- Ensure all coding and machining processes adhere to internal quality standards and ISO 9001/45001 requirements
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance to team members on automated tools and machining programs
- Develop and integrate machine tool probing routines for setup verification, work offsets, and in‑process inspection
- Create automated probing macros and incorporate probing feedback into adaptive machining workflows.
Description
We are seeking a dedicated Software Developer – NX & G-Code Programmer who will be crucial in developing custom automation tools using Siemens NX and creating efficient G-code for the machining of new tire molds. This role supports our Engineering and Programming teams by enhancing design workflows, optimizing machining processes, and improving tire mold production through automation.
