Requirements

Must:
We require a Machine Learning Development Engineer with solid expertise in Radio Frequency (RF) and Computer Vision. You should have the capability to design, train, and deploy machine learning models for RF and CV data, which will enhance our intelligent perception and localization systems across various products.

Technologies

Machine Learning
PyTorch
Sensor Fusion
opencv

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to: - Select, implement, and assess model architectures for real-world sensor data, including Lidars, Cameras, IMUs, and RF signal processing areas. - Develop algorithms that merge data from multiple sensors utilizing probabilistic or neural methods (such as Kalman filters, Random Forests, MLPs, CNNs, GNNs, or Transformers). - Create feature extraction and preprocessing pipelines for raw sensor signals (e.g., Images, Depth Maps, Metric Characteristics like RSSI, phase, frequency hopping). - Prototype, benchmark, and refine models to attain real-time accuracy and dependability in challenging field conditions. - Document experiments, clearly convey findings, and participate in design decisions regarding future architectures.

Description

The ideal candidate should possess a robust foundation in machine learning principles relating to probabilistic and neural approaches. You must have the ability to translate real-world issues into well-structured machine learning tasks and set clear success metrics — including the selection of architectures, loss functions, and training methodologies. We seek someone with strong practical experience in ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, focusing on model training, evaluation, and optimization. Proficiency in Python and strong software engineering skills, complemented by clean, modular, and testable coding practices, is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, are also required. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Computer Vision (e.g., OpenCV, PCL, Camera Calibration), a sound understanding of RF principles (including RSSI, phase, multipath, filtering, spectral analysis, DSP), and experience with sensor fusion and time-series learning (e.g., LSTM, Transformers, probabilistic filters). Familiarity with deployment on constrained hardware (like Jetson, ONNX Runtime, TensorRT) would be a plus. You should hold a BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; an MS is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying ML models for perception, localization, or sensor data analysis is required. This position is full-time, offering a salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year. We provide benefits including AD&D insurance, dental insurance, disability insurance, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance. This is a hybrid role, with work locations based in Portsmouth, NH.
